1. Go to a doctor and ask for some blood work. Low iron count, not enough B12 vitamin, hormone problems, PCOS, thyroid disease, lupus, cancers are things that can cause hair loss and can be detected in a blood test. Don’t take a dermatolagist’s word that it is alopecia. This may be a medical issue, hair is an indicator of what is going on in our bodies. If your hair is falling out there is something out of balance in your body most likely. Unfortunately hair loss after pregnancy is fairly common becuase of hormone changes but it should not be permanant. There is hope.
2. Where is the hair loss occuring? Temple, crown, back, sides? This can help you find causes. If it is at your hairline, I suggest looking into traction alopecia. I got this from wearing weaves too often. Cornrows are tough on hair as they pull out hair and cause eventual baldness. If this is happening to you, stop wearing weaves and tight styles and hair should eventually return to the area.
3. If it not hereditary baldness or alopecia then it is possible to speed up the growing process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Eqyss Mega Tek or Ovation Cell Therapy. It might be available in horse stores but I bought my online valleyvet.com
I had patches of traction alopecia I told you about at my temples. I applied Mega Tek and in two weeks new hair had grown! It also strenghthens the existing hair since it’s a protein treatments. Apply it directly to your scalp. It’s expensive but it’s amazing.

4. Unfortunately, it may be something permanent or uncurable, there are many women going through this. You can wear wigs, weaves or rock the baldness. Find a good hair loss support group.
5. Are you sure it is shedding and not breakage? There is a difference. If the hair is coming out at the root, it will have a white bulb at the end and if the hair is breaking it will not. Shedding is a medical issue, breakage is a hair issue that can be solved with deep conditioning and breakage.
