For some reason shampoo will not rinse out of my hair very well. After I rinse and rinse and rinse it still stays soapy. I haven't colored, permed or changed my hair lately and I recently bought a nexxus aloe rid shampoo hoping to strip any buildup out but it didn't work. I have bought a new shampoo and it is doing the same thing. Even conditioner is hard to rinse out and never use to be. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at a loss as to why this happened all of a sudden!!! My hair is not oily in the least. It is actually very dry and this is making it worse!!! Please help………..

How's the water pressure in your shower? Do you have what they call "hard water"?
ask your hairdresser
How is the hardness of your water? Has it changed?
maybe your water pressure is too low, or you need to clean out your shower head
It could have something to do with your water.
Some places have what is called hard water or soft water. I can't remember which, but a certain kind makes it near impossible to get all the soap out of your hair.
Check to find out if your city has changed water supplies, and then purchase the appropraite attachement for your shower head.
it depends on the water of your shower. If the water is too hard, the shampoo is really hard to lather, but easier to wash off. If your water is too soft, then the shampoo will lather easily, but it will be harder to wash off.

that's a little weird, I would just make sure that you are thoroughly washing your hair. I might even recommend rinsing out more than you usually did; just to be sure that all the suds get out =]
Use less than what you think you need. My hair was going where ever it wanted to go and that was the reason I was using too much cream rinse.
my hair was in good shape but becomming uncontrolable. use less and see what happens.
What I would do is allow the hair to dry. then wash it without any shampoo or conditioner.
If that still continues, soak your hair in water for as long as you can.
switch back to the other shampoo that you were using before you started having trouble. And if that doesn't work, go to a local hair solon and ask for help. Hope i could help!!
First thing I thought of was the water…hard water or soft water.
The simplest way to determine the hardness of water is the lather/froth test: soap or toothpaste, when agitated, lathers easily in soft water but not in hard water.
However, the chemical explanation is that softened water, due to its sodium content, has a much reduced ability to combine with the soap film on your body and therefore, it is much more difficult to rinse off.
It sounds like your hair is doing this because it is very dry. I would check with your stylist to make sure that is correct. To try and remedy it on your own, I would try a hot oil treatment or some sort of a moisture treatment to build up your hair again. I have used egg yolks before it really helped me get moisture in my hair again.
No this is happening to me too I recently moved into a new apartment that has soft water I am a stylist and have tried every shampoo and conditioner known to man from moisturizing to protein even the zero sulfate zero salt pure line my hair continues to get dryer every time I wash and I don’t wash every day…I don’t know what to do my hair has gotten so bad that it’s extremely dry and keeps breaking off I can literally pull my hair slightly and it just snaps I have never had this problem at all until I moved here and I’ve done some crazy stuff to my hair as far as color goes and never ever had it do this I’m getting so upset cuz I don’t know what to do I feel like I’ve tried everything…someone please let me know how to fix this!!!
