What’s the best way to thicken thin hair on a female?

I have really thin hair and I’m trying to increase the thickness but I’m not sure how. My hair used to be natural curly and it was thicker at one point in time. Since I was 12 my hair has thinned out. What are some ways that I can thicken it?

I’ve been trying to increase the thickness of my hair for about a year and its been looking pretty nice lately. I think my hair got to its thinnest when I was stressed, but if you are happy and eating right it will look its best. Also, I’ve found that the best thickening shampoo is from garnier fructese. I can’t spell it, so hopefully you know the brand. Get the body boost shampoo and maybe conditioner depending on how severe the thinness is.

Well, you can’t make it permanently thick (no, those pills in magazines do not work) but you can buy thickening shampoo and conditioner, and products. All they do it plump up the hair strand temporarily making it look thicker. You can also ask your stylist for a cut that will give you more body and volume. There is a good thickening balm by Alterna called Hemp Thickening Compound. A lot of salons sell Alterna products and you can also get them at Trade Secrets in the mall.

You might try Garnier Fructis style shampoo and conditioner, either thickening (if they have such a thing) or "for thick hair" or "volumizing."
If these don’t work, use some volumizing mousse or foam. It’ll give it that extra "oomph" you want.
