I have shoulder length hair and my hair takes forever to grow. My friend says that she uses a pill called Nioxin to make her hair grow fast. I want to know were I can purchase this pill or what other pill can help. I do not suffer from hair loss just want my hair to grow faster. Thank you.

I don’t know that’s there’s really a legitimate hair growth solution if you don’t suffer from hair loss. If you are male, there’s always Propecia as an option, however this is not something that can be prescribed for women. Hair growth treatments for women are far more limited, especially when you don’t suffer from any conditions that would warrant medical consultation.
There are many products on the market that claim to help you grow longer, thicker hair– but ultimately, they don’t really do much. You can always try using an over-the-counter topical minoxidil product, better known as Rogaine.
Honestly, your best bet is to take good care of the hair you do have. Keeping a clean scalp and making sure your hair is healthy ultimately promotes growth,
I’m not sure where you can get it. But i guess u can try going to any pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for advice on which is a better drug for your hair. After all, pharmacist knows best. What your friend uses may not be compliant and effective for you. So, do ask the pharmacist for advice first.
Sally Beauty Supply sells that Nioxin stuff or something similar to it. I suggest taking the supplement vitamin Biotin. You can get it just about anywhere. Just a note…I take it daily. A good multi-vitamin also contains it. Other than that there isn’t much else you can do. My hair grows pretty slow so I know how bad it sucks when you want it grown back out quickly.
VITAMIN E, AND FISH OIL PILLS, GET IT FROM WALMART
I have never heard of a Nioxin pill, I have heard or the shampoos and lotions for the scalp tho……but Nioxin is more for people who have thinning hair and are loosing their hair. Prenatal vitamins can be bought at any drug store or wal-mart, they make your hair and nails grow longer and stronger and are probably a whole lot cheaper. =)
