Diet is paramount in the condition of ones hair. You do need calcium from milk or another source to supply the calcium for good hair. Most daily vitamins don't have calcium in them, but you can buy a supplement for it. The best way to have healthy hair is to eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables.

Yes, I think some vitamins effect the hair, if I remember correctly b. But the most important thing is get LOTS of protein. That is what hair is made of, and without it, you don't get any. Dairy, meat, (soybeans if you are a vegetarian) are good sources.

Of course the vitamins add to the strength and vitality of your hair.

i thibk it might, but it could just be your shampoo. some shampoos like head and shoulders are really bad for your hair not only because its dried out, frizzy, and damaged, it makes it fall out more because of the harshness. try sunsilk anti-fall shampoo. it hidrates my hair , cleans, doesn't dry it out, and it helps for hair not to fall out as often. the conditioner is horrible(residue), so I would reccomend to use your own.

There was a recent study done by the Cleveland Clinic about iron deficiency and hair loss.

"Although the data suggests that iron deficiency may be linked to several of the most common kinds of hair loss, there is insufficient evidence to recommend universal screening for iron deficiency in hair loss patients, the Clinic researchers report. Further research on this subject is necessary."

Since you are very young I would recommend talking with your doctor about the situation. They will recommend what type of vitamin supplements you should be taking.

They might even suggest a thyroid test, since hair loss is a symptom for thyroid disease/disorders.
