hair straightening & split ends?

I straighten my hair…well a lot. i cannot stand it in its natural state. i also tended to dye my hair a lot as the regrowth looked a bit yuck.

however recently i have been noticing an increased amount of hair loss, breakage and split ends…very different from its usual glossy sleek outcome after straightening

can anyone recommend anything to combat this??!!

note: i already use 'schwarzkopt flatliner osis'…is there anything better on the market?

thanks

Sorry, the only way to get rid of split ends is a trim. No products will get rid of them, only a trim. You can prevent them by buying a moisturizing shampoo and conditoner and flat ironing your hair three times a week.

apply garnier sleek and shine on towel dried hair and let dry in plain air like fan do not blow dry . then flat iron or apply chi ionic silk therapy

You have to cut it more often.

Think of it as your pubes.

Those puppies need maintenance and care.

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

You need to protect your hair from all that heat! There are lots of heat protectant solutions out there, pick your favorite brand!

you need to get regular trims, and use a deep moisturizing mask once a week, or every two weeks.

use vivitone glare smoothing serum before you iron. it provides a fantastic heat protection barrier. i absolutely love this stuff. a little goes a long way.

what kind of straightener do you use?
if you use a cheap one, then there's your problem

if you use a salon type one, or one of those expensive straighteners, do you use heat protecting stuff?

and you could try Dove intense hair damage shampoo and conditioner (the name's something like that)
