i have been going through a lot of stress for last 10 months.i heard that stress is the factor for hair loss.then if my stress is relieved will my hair loss stop and the hair i have lost grow back?
i also feel my diet is not healthy too.what diet should i have for it.help!

If you feel it’s being caused by stress as well as your diet, then I would suggest eating foods that are lower in stress.
I heard other theories to hair loss:
1. Taking a very hot shower opens up your hair pores and you will thus loose more hair that way
2. Tying your hair in tight buns might cause strain on your scalp and you lose hair (think Geishas)
Hair has keratin in it…like your fingernails. So…I think if you eat more protein, maybe that will help? Make sure you have adequate Vitamins too. Also if you take any medications, look for their side effects…
I believe so. My dad had stressful times when he was growing but never had hair loss until like his 40s. Then his stress was building and building and hair loss happened. I think there are more causes of hair loss than just stress. Age is a factor. Don’t get to stressed out on hair loss and diets. Just play it cool. And yes I’m pretty sure its all accumulative, so if you just relax, everything will be okay.
stress can caiuse it, but so can lack of protein or iron deficiency. make sure you are getting enough protein (at least 60 grams a day for women, not exactly sure for men) and take iron supplements, and multivitamins. my hair has been falling out because of a severe iron deficiency, so my doc told me to take ferrous sulfate elixir (liquid iron, blah) but my hair is growing back now. have some bloodwork done, ask the doctor for basic chemistries, a complete blood count, and an iron panel
"You may have heard that stress can cause hair loss, and it’s true. Excessive physical or emotional stress, like that associated with injury, illness or surgery, can cause one of two types of hair loss.
People generally begin to notice hair loss about 4-6 months after a very stressful situation, but if the stress has subsided then normal hair loss and regrowth will return.
If you are worried about hair loss check the site below and make sure to count every hair you lose in an average day to see if you are actually losing hair at a normal weight. You can also buy vitamins that are specially designed for nails and hair; prenatal vitamins are also known to help, but they make some people sick if they are not pregnant.

Hair falls due to genetic reasons, stress, pollution, thyroid imbalance, chemicals in hair styling products and lack of proper nutrition. Home remedies are cheap , natural and without any side effects. Some of the home remedies for treating hair fall are:
1.Apply the white of a raw egg on the hair for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with a shampoo. A mixture of lemon juice and egg white could also be used to strengthen the roots of hair.
2. Massage the head with oil for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with a shampoo. A hot oil massage with olive oil will also help.
3.Apply a mixture of lemon juice and juice of amla to the scalp. This also helps control dandruff in the hair
4. Boil neem leaves in water for an hour and let it cool. Wash the hair with this water. Alternately neem oil can be mixed with coconut oil and massaged where there is hair fall
5. The juice of fresh coriander can be massaged onto the scalp will reduce hair loss.
6. Ensure that you eat nutritious food, with plenty of leafy vegetables. Have a soya milk drink and multivitamin tablets if you do not have time to have a healthy breakfast.
7. Apply conditioner only to your hair not to the scalp or hair roots. The conditioner could damage your hair. Henna (mehandi) will help control hair loss.
8.Try to reduce the stress and tension in your life, learn to relax. Stress causes hair loss.
I hope these remedies solve your problem.
Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out
