I will give several answers since this depends on the condition.
For general reasons the best thing is Ecklonia Cava (Fibroboost).
It protects against photo oxidation, inflammation from caused from diet, increases trans-cranial blood flow, increases oxygen to the capillaries and inhibits gelatinase-B enzyme (MMP-9) which causes follicle fallout. More info on that found here: http://www.immortalhair.org/theoryinpractice.htm
Biotin would help if you have been an accutane user in the past or have taken antibiotics in the last year.
If it's thyroid related, then iodine in the form of Lugol's solution.
See this site for more information regarding that. http://www.immortalhair.org/physiology.htm
It could be iron also, so have your ferritin levels measured, but only if you're female.
There are many reason why you loose your hair! It can be from stress, shock, unbalanced diet, lack of sleep, or health related!!! I alwayse recomend getting a yearly check up at the doctors to make sure it aint thyroide or any other reasons!
But you need to know that there is a stage of hair growth you will loose more hair then normal it does this once a year! So if it's a recent thing i would not worry.
If it has been going on for awhile ither see a doctor or try nioxin!
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.
