I’ve just dyed my hair fully and it became a lot less softer than it was before and got a lot of split ends. so what is the best conditioner i could buy for that and an equivalent home conditioner i could use daily that would actually work and restore my hair back to how it was?
i’m going to have it cut chin short very soon too cuz of the split ends and the hair loss i’ve been getting even b4 i dyed my hair.

Olive oil
Egg yolks
Whisk
Vitamin E
Silicone oil or gloss
Step1:Apply a homemade egg and olive oil conditioner once a week for a month to help repair hair. To make one application, whisk one egg yolk with two tbsp. of olive oil in a bowl. Apply to hair, especially on the ends. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse before shampooing.
Step2:Use vitamin E treatment on your hair, either store bought or homemade. To make a homemade treatment break open 5 or 6 vitamin E capsules and combine with your favorite shampoo. Vitamin E makes hair look healthy, shiny and smooth.
Step3:Get regular hair trims once a month. These trims get rid of damaged hair and encourage faster hair growth.
Step4: Try a diffuser at a low-heat or cool setting when you use your hair dryer. With irons, try to use the lowest heat setting.
Step5:Shampoo and condition your hair less frequently. Ideally, two or three times a week helps curb over-drying and repairs damaged hair.
Step6: Rinse and shampoo hair as soon as possible after swimming in chlorine or salt water. Both of these make hair more brittle.
Step7:Be patient. It takes the average person months to grow enough new hair to replace damaged hair.

I know olive oil is good for the hair. Really good, it smooths it and softens it. Extra virgin olive oil is best. If you want to try it, heat up some olive oil, usually about 2-3 tablespoons or depends how long your hair is, till it’s warm. Apparently you’re supposed to add some rosemary too, but i didn’t and it still worked. Spread in hair starting from the roots to the tip of your hair. Place on a cap and leave for about an hour. Then take a shower and wash your hair with your normal shampoo and conditioner.
A good product that’s good for conditioning hair is Vichy, from Vichy Laboratories. It is expensive, but it works, and you will notice your hair smoother and softer.
Good luck.
You are gonna think that I have lost my mind but try mayo. Not the stuff that says salad dressing on it. Get a generic form of Hellman's. get a small-medium bottle and make sure you have a shower cap(cheap at the dollar store) and just dig in and smear it all in your hair, put on the cap&leave on for 20 minutes and wash it out, you will HAVE to use shampoo to get it out & you will play hell getting it out BUT your hair will be soft as silk.
i think dove conditioner should work well, the bottle says it helps split ends, and then you could try the Aussie 3 minute deep conditioning. You may also want to get a hydrating shampoo like Herbal Essenses Hello Hyrdration, or if you want your hair color not to fade too quickly, use a product called “Dumb Blonde” by Bed Head, it is for color treated and damaged hair.
The best products i could recommend would be redken or satinique
Redken can be picked up at most local salons Satinique is on a website quixtar.com. Both of these products are amazing just make sure you get the conditioner for color treated hair. If the roughness in your hair is excessive then before using these treatments get a hot oil treatment done you can get a cheap one at wal mart. Doing this will help your hair return to normal and continuing with either of the other products will help it contain its softness along with many other benefits like strength to keep you from getting split ends etc…
Bed head products are also pretty good as far as keeping your hair soft i wouldn’t say they work as well as the others but in a hurry you can get it at wal mart as well. hope this helps
