18 years old and losing a lot of hair?

28 June 2009 4 Comments

Hi, Im finishing my freshman year of college, and ive recently noticed a tremendous amount of hair loss in just the front of my head. If i run my fingers through my hair i notice at least one or two hairs each time i do so, but only in the front

On the crown, my hair is very strong and doesn't fall out at all

Its been going on for about 6 months now, and seems to fluctuate. There is what looks like some regrowth, but then the regrowth seems to fall out. Itll look a little patchy one month then really patchy the next. I can usually see bald patches whenever i put gel in my hair (and i do so almost daily).

I used to have really full hair and stuff but its going and going quick. My dad is completely bald, but both of my grandfathers and all of my uncles have really good hair.

The question i have is, is it going forever, or is it gonna come back?

You sound a liite young for traditional balding. Sounds like stress. Try a men's MVI, or Bcomplex vits.

it could be stress or genetics. If ur going completly bald then i suggest seeing a doctor or something. I dont know it will come back but a lot of my hair has been falling out too but i started using this shampoo called Nioxin and its working really well for me. MY hair is thicker and smoother and healthier. Barely any hair falls out. but if u do get it, make sure u test it out first cause ive heard it might burn on ur scalp. This doesn't happen to me but just take extra caution.
